The public pages of rankgrove.app and of the blog use two families of cookies.
The necessary cookies remember your language and your consent
choice (cookie rg_consenso, valid twelve months across the rankgrove.app
domain): they work without asking, because without them the site would not do its
job. The statistics cookies start only if you say yes in the banner:
they belong to Google Analytics 4, which tells us which pages get
read and where visitors come from, with the IP address shortened and with no
advertising and no profiles sold to anyone. Before your yes, no Google script is
loaded. If you arrive from an ad on ChatGPT and say yes to marketing, the click
parameter stays in the rg_oppref cookie for ninety days, to attribute
your sign-up to the campaign that brought you here.
Marketing cookies start only with your yes to the "Marketing" switch in the banner: they belong to the Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram) and the OpenAI pixel (ads on ChatGPT), which let us measure our own ads and show them to people who already visited the site, and the Klaviyo ones, which connect the visit to the person receiving our emails, so the messages talk about what you actually looked at. Before your yes, none of these scripts is loaded.
When you open an account, the choice you made here stays with the account, together with the IP address and the browser you used at that moment. It is needed because the conversions that matter — card verified, first payment — reach us days later from Stripe, when the banner is long gone: with your yes we send them to Meta and OpenAI from our own server (Conversions API), with your email address hashed and the amount paid; with your no only the no is stored, and we keep nothing of your IP address or browser.
You can change your mind at any time from the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page: it reopens the banner with your current choices.
WordPress, which serves the blog, may use technical cookies in two cases: when you leave a comment (comments are switched off) and when you sign in to the admin area, which concerns only us.
